Tori Amos's Top 5 Hit Songs

Tori Amos was born on August 22, 1963 into a priest's family who ran a Methodist church. Since the first day, she proved that she had unique musical abilities. When she was two years old, she began to play the piano a little and at four she composed her first play. She soon began to play and sing in the church chorus.
Tori Amos has continued to be involved in music but as a solo artist. By soul searching, she created a firm style with her piano, broken vocals, and her illogical rhythms. On the same label, Atlantic in 1992, she released her first compact disk called The Little Earthquakes. The world got to know about Tori Amos. It first, it went gold in the United States and then because it was successful her, it went gold in Great Britain.

Tori Amos, the singer-songwriter best known for her moody, piano-driven rock songs, isn't an artist most would associate with the dance routines and special effects of a typical music video. She has long been a fan of the genre, though. In the 1980s and the '90s, she recalls, "people were glued to watching videos and that was sort of your life.... Now you really have to seek them out."
